Uncle John's Band

From 1974 until 1999, Andy was a member of Uncle John's Band (UJB). Here you can find various photographs of the band over the years. Some of the pictures are grouped in sub-folders.

Brighton Pavilion 1981

When UJB played outside the Royal Pavilion, Brighton in 1981, they were joined by Miller Anderson. Miller was in the Keef Hartley Band, which performed at the Woodstock Festival; he has also been associated with the Spencer Davis Group, Broken Glass, The Dukes, Savoy Brown, T.Rex, Chicken Shack and The British Blues Quintet.

Reunion 2004
UJB had a Reunion Concert in 2004 in the function room at the Half Brick pub in Worthing. It was a well-attended and much-enjored occasion.

UJB played here every Sunday for hundreds of years.

The Gardner Arts Centre

The Gardner Arts Centre was opened in 1969. It was part of the University of Sussex and had a fan shaped auditorium with a capacity of 482 people. The centre is now closed. It is scheduled to re-open as Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts in 2011-12.
